TAPAS & CULTURE
Cadiz5 TAPAS
4 DRINKS
3.5 HOURS
In Spain and especially in Andalusian, Tapas are a big part of the culture. It’s hard to be out on the street without seeing people bustling around a bar or crowding around a small table, deep in conversation enjoying a fino (a type of sherry wine) or a cold caña (small glass of beer) while eating a tapa or two.
Tapas have become arguably one of the biggest contributions Spain has given the gastronomic world from bitesize morsels to small plates of different kinds of seafood, to meats (mostly ham) as well as delicious vegetables prepared in a simple, yet exquisite way. There is no better place to try this type of cuisine but Cádiz. With each stop we make at a Tapa bar we will not only learn the history of the food but try some of the most popular local dishes and of course, which local wines and sherries to pair them with.
Come join me and learn how to eat and drink the way the locals do.
