One of the unique treasures of Sanlúcar de Barrameda is La Doñana National Park, located just across the Guadalquivir River. This expansive park stretches across the provinces of Huelva and Cádiz, bordered by both the Atlantic and Mediterranean Oceans, and is often referred to as “the lungs of Europe.”
Home to over 300 bird species, including thousands of migratory birds from Europe and Africa, as well as rare wildlife like the Iberian lynx, La Doñana is an oasis of diverse ecosystems and natural beauty.
On this three-hour, 39km 4×4 adventure, you’ll explore the park’s serene landscapes, soaking in the peace and beauty of this protected natural wonder. Following our nature tour, we’ll head to Bajo Guia, one of the most renowned gastronomic areas of Cádiz, where you’ll indulge in local tapas.
This unforgettable experience is the perfect combination of nature and gastronomy, providing an authentic way to discover the heart of Cádiz.

Explore la Doñana
One of the many wonders of southern Spain is ‘La Doñana’ National Park is one of Europe’s most important wetlands. Here we will spend 3 hours traveling in 4×4 through these spectacular marshes. Where we will get to witness a variety of different bird species and different ecosystems. There will be a 30 30-minute break where you will get to stretch your feet and enjoy a tapa and a drink.

Tapas in Bajo Guia
After the experience, you will enjoy some tapas at some of the most famous tapa bars in Sanlúcar, while looking out at the view of the Guadalquivir River and the Doñana National Park on the opposite bank.

MEETING POINT & TOUR DURATION
Meeting location: Suggested by Guide: In front of the Ice factory or the Fabrica de Hielo. Av. Bajo de Guía, S/N, 11540 Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz.
Tour Duration: The tour is between 5 to 5.5 hours long. Please keep in mind that most of the local spots do not take reservations. We do our best to be as organized and keep up with our allotted time, but sometimes MURPHY law is real.
TRANSPORTATION
The first 3 hours of the tour will be conducted in a 4×4 van through the Doñana National Park. Afterwards, we will walk between each tapa location. There will be a specific meeting point where we will meet before the tour.

RESTRICTIONS
Please keep in mind that most Tapa bars are open between 12:00 and 16:00.
The experience can only be done in the morning, due to the heat of the afternoon.
