Villa de Rota

Far beyond a mere coastal retreat, Rota epitomizes the essence of southern Spanish charm. With origins predating even the Phoenicians, its storied history is evident in the remnants of Roman fishing industries, etched in stone along pristine shores.

The Moors, who once held dominion here, erected homes, fortresses, and sacred sites. Later, the Christians, in their reconquest of Spain, molded the vibrant culture that resonates today. Rota seamlessly weaves a tapestry of a captivating past with a dynamic present.
